Have an Emergency?

In the event of an emergency all our gates can be operated manually, for guidance on how to do this please use the appropriate instructions below:

Troubleshooting Guidance:

If the gate won’t move check the trip switch, is there power?

Check to see if there is anything in the way of the safety beams, anything obstructing the beams will cause the gates to stop working e.g. bins, plants, flags etc. Is there any build up by the gate, mud, stones or debris stopping it from moving, check for stones especially if a sliding gate.

Has a switch been pressed by mistake in the house/on the handset (some clients have lock open or turn off switches)?

Has the gate been manually released and not put back into gear properly?

Try a manual reset: turn the power to the gate off for 10/20 seconds, turn the power back on and give the gate a command to open either using your remote or keypad then wait. It takes up to 90 seconds for the system to re boot itself. (Useful after a power surge or cut or if the system latches if a vehicle has been parked over the magnet in the gateway).

If the gate won’t work our engineer will want to know if there is power at the gate still, does the motor make a noise or try to move, is the keypad working or making a noise when the buttons are pressed.

Is it one gate or two not moving and if you have an In and Out driveway which set is not working?

For multi-user gates it is a good idea to have a manual release key in a key safe at the gateway, so all have access to it in an emergency and they know how to use it.

Remote not working – change batteries in first instance for CR2032.
